Custom Paperweight Chosen as Winner of the National Association of Women Business Owners
Shelly Bloom, President of Crystal Collection, designed a paperweight for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), for its annual contest on the use of the NAWBO logo on Member-created products.
Bloom produced a paperweight that was chosen as one of this year’s winners and will be displayed on the NAWBO website, www.nawbo.org, under NAWBOgear and on her company web site, www.crystalcollection.com, under Custom Paperweights. Ms. Bloom stated that the final product embodies her personal experience with NAWBO. It includes the organization’s logo and the phrase, Women Mean Business, along with the words: Leadership, Mentoring and Education, which are sandblasted into the paperweight.
Bloom has been a member of National Association of Women Business Owners since 1992. She served as President of the Boca/Delray Chapter, in Florida, for two years and on their national board of directors as the Southeast Regional Director for four years.
Crystal Collection started in 1996 and primarily supplies corporate gifts. Bloom states, “Our mission is to make our clients look good to their clients.”
NAWBO, founded in 1975, propels women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide. Thirty years later, NAWBO is still the only organization that solely represents the interests of women entrepreneurs in all industries. NAWBO and Women Mean Business are registered trademarks of the National Association of Women Business Owners. For more information, please visit www.nawbo.org
BLOOM DESIGNS FIRST ARTWORK
Shelly Bloom, President of Crystal Collection, has been importing art glass from the Czech Republic since 1996. Customer demand and recommendations led her to create the ideal corporate or speaker gift. A crystal sandblasted paperweight that says ‘Thank You” in six languages.
The Czechs have been creating unique and artistic glass since the 14th century. Crystal Collection employs a number of artists and some of their families have been creating glass pieces in the same location for centuries.
Ms. Bloom currently serves as the Southeast Regional Director of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and is an Ambassador for the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. In 1999, she won the Woman In Business Advocate of the Year for the State of Florida from the Small Business Administration.
