The Art of Czech Glass
Czech Art Glass has been made the same way for centuries. We are pleased to introduce you to our wonderful Czech Art Glass studios that continue to use the ancient art of blown, shaped and decorated glass techniques to create original contemporary Bohemian Glass.
The glass industry has its roots in the Czech Republic, formerly Czechoslovakia, from the early 14th Century. Local production throughout the country was characterized by a large number of small workshops that specialize in: blowing, engraving, sandblasting, cutting and painting of glass and crystal.
The pictures of artisans working in the glass studio show furnaces, clothing and glassblowing techniques that have not significantly changed in 600 years.
